The truth is, we could go on and on with examples such as these, and we can be rest assured it WILL go on and on with examples such as these, because, quite simply, it is in the nature of the beast to do so.

The 20th century has been epochal in the sense that the apocalyptic marriage between synagogue and state has resulted in Jewish interests (or their lackeys) rubbing the magic lamp, loosing the terrible Old Testament Genie and then sending him forth on a seek-and-destroy mission against Israel’s enemies, real or perceived…

So, using the past century as precedent, getting all hot-n-bothered about someone from within the Jewish community ‘Talking Torah’ as it were concerning ‘Mr. or Mrs. Anti-Semite’ biting the bullet because of some less-than-acceptable position viz-a-viz the Jewish state is (or should be) passé…

…and even when it involves something as ‘unique’ in its flavor as an American Jewish publisher threatening the life of the US President.

Israel Is Doomed

Israel has never accepted compromise with the Palestinians on issues that may pose a threat to its security. And since it is an occupation, which means it has a parasitical nature, any Palestinian right, down to the simplest, goes against its security theory. That is why the whole Jewish state shivered with fear when Palestine was admitted as a member state at the UNESCO last week.

In truth, that humble Palestinian achievement has created a considerable worry for the Zionist occupation. It has reminded them of how they stooped to conquer when they first tried to establish a Jewish state in Palestine. At the time, in order to build a foothold from which they could occupy the rest of Palestine, they took advantage of the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine of 1947, which proposed establishing two states: one for the Palestinians and the other for the Jews. The Palestinians, however, categorically rejected that proposal, just as the Jews welcomed it.

That rejection and acceptance reminds me of the story of the two women who came to Prophet Solomon, with a baby of whom they both claimed motherhood. The two women were both crying so bitterly that it was impossible to establish who the real mother was. So the wise prophet ordered that the baby be cut into two halves and that each woman take one half. The false mother agreed to that solution, but the real one did not. At this point the truth came out and Prophet Solomon gave the baby to his real mother.

Justice was achieved in that case because it was referred to Allah’s prophet. But in our case, there was no justice because the judge was the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP), which comprised governments with selfish interests beyond any moral consideration. And because the Palestinians rejected the partition plan, they wound up with nothing.

But now it seems that a divine intervention has replaced the UNSCOP with the UNESCO, which may be a heavenly sign that the destruction of the Jewish state has begun and that it will happen in the same manner as Palestine was destroyed. I am sure this will happen because in Islam we have a Quranic warning for the transgressors ~ and I am sure the Jews and the Christians have similar ones in their holy books ~ in which God says:

“Those who do not feel ashamed of doing bad deeds can do whatever they want, but they should remember that as they do, they will be done by”.

Israel’s abomination towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is not something new. The Israeli leaders have frequently externalized their fears regarding this issue on several international occasions.
Two months ago, for example, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech at the 66th session of the General Assembly of the UN in which he quoted dozens of security threats as a reason for not withdrawing from the lands occupied in 1967.

He was trying to tell the world that it should not be carried away by the moving speech of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and that it should consider the “real threats” that would result from assisting the Palestinians to have a state before they show a real intention for peace.

Despite his propensity for mistruth, he mentioned a few genuine security threats that may result from withdrawing from the West Bank, Golan Heights and Shebaa Farms. And we should not forget that Israel expanded its occupation in 1967 mainly to protect its entity. However, its security is not a problem that the Palestinians, the Syrians or the Lebanese should worry about; it’s a problem that was generated by the occupation ~ so why should the occupied bear the security burden of the occupiers?

In fact, keeping the West Bank (the biggest part of any future Palestinian state) under Israeli control will not solve Israel’s security problem.

To make it clear, let us suppose that the West Bank, and even the Gaza Strip, were under the complete control of the Jewish state, the security problem would remain unsolved because there would then be other neighbouring states that are much stronger than Gaza and the West Bank.

There will be Egypt in the South, Lebanon in the North and Syria in the East, countries which may not be eternally committed to ensuring Israel’s survival. In such a case, Israel, according to its security theory, would have to completely occupy all these countries. And even if it did that, it would face other challenges from the neighbours of the hypothetically newly occupied countries such as Libya, Iran, Iraq and Turkey.

Israel has got itself involved in a series of crimes resulting from its attempt to protect itself from the consequences of the previous crime it committed, when it set out to occupy Palestine, the heart of the Arab and Muslim world.

It has placed itself into a spiral of causes and effects, where the effect becomes a cause, and the cause becomes an effect. The great English writer and journalist, George Orwell, wrote in his article ‘Politics and the English Language’ that:

“an effect can become a cause, reinforcing the original cause and producing the same effect in an intensified form, and so on indefinitely”.

This applies well to our problem with Zionists. The effect that has resulted from occupying Palestine (the original cause of the problem) is the lack of security for the Israelis. This lack of security has become a cause for the Israelis to occupy more regions, block people, kill civilians and construct apartheid barriers, confiscating lands and destroying homes.

These practices, in turn, reinforced the occupation (the original cause) and produced the same effects in an intensified form.

However, all these desperate attempts will not make Israel survive for ever. On the contrary, they will accelerate its end, particularly at this time in which all odds have started to be set against it in the light of the Arab spring.
In conclusion, the Zionist Jews have to come to term with the fact that their atrocities will not make their illegitimate state survive for ever.

They should learn a lesson from the history of their Prophet Moses and his struggle against Pharaoh. That struggle between Allah’s prophet and Pharaoh had begun before Moses was even delivered. It started when Pharaoh had a vision one night that a boy from the Israelites would be born soon, and that this boy would grow up and destroy his kingdom.

Instead of stopping doing injustice to his people, Pharaoh decided to defy God by exercising further cruelty and killing. He killed every male baby that was delivered then to ensure his own security. As a result God made him raise Moses with his own hands and in his own palace, and what was destined to be, had been.

FOLLOW THE MONEY

“TOP LEVEL JEWISH FUNDRAISERS are sticking with Obama,” reports the popular Jewish Daily Forward.

The article points out that although Obama faces a loss of Jewish funders due to his Middle East policy, his Jewish supporters from his 2008 race show no defections for 2012.

Alan Solow, former chair of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (there are literally HUNDREDS of Jew organizations) and a major Obama fundraiser, said the “would-be donors” in his Rolodex are “responding” just fine.

And Jack Rosen, Chairman of the American Council for World Jewry, (one of the HUNDREDS of Jew organizations infesting America), who hosted a campaign fundraiser attended by Obama in November, boasted that it “wasn’t difficult” getting his people to contribute.

As The Forward so pithily points out, Obama’s only problem with Jewish voters is that there aren’t enough of them.

Obama’s “Jewish Team” has a strategy in mind as well. The group includes Obama’s ad man, David Axelrod; Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz; former Congressmen Robert Wexler and Mel Levine; and mega-donor of Hyatt Hotels fame, Penny Pritzker.

Using high profile Jewish figures to “assure” deep-pocketed Jewish voters that Obama is “back on track” with a Pro-Israel platform, the “team” is announcing that their efforts have reaped overwhelming results.

Both the Jew, Dennis Ross, a former senior adviser to Obama on the Middle East with close personal and communal ties to the Jewish community (Ross led the effort to block a Palestinian move for statehood via the U.N.) and Daniel Shapiro, Obama’s new ambassador to Israel, are actively working on the incumbent’s behalf by plowing the money-field of their fellow tribe members.

MONEY FOR MITT

“ROMNEY’S JEWISH BACKERS are a who’s who of the Republican Jewish establishment,” reports the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

The owner of Las Vegas Sands is relatively unknown in the US. In Israel, his name is said to inspire self-censorship.

Sheldon Adelson, not long ago the third richest American, made his billions on gambling in Las Vegas and then Macau, but Israel is where his fortune is most acutely felt. To take just one example: Israel Hayom, or Israel Today, the two-year-old right-wing free daily newspaper that Adelson founded and funds, currently leads Israel’s circulation battle, with 35 percent of readers.

As the Independent (U.K.) reported, Israel Hayom "is such a strong backer of the prime minister that its critics call it ‘Bibiton’ – a play on the nickname of Benjamin Netanyahu.” The prime minister, like many leaders in Israel, is a close friend of the Jewish billionaire Adelson, who is a self-professed Zionist bitterly opposed to a two-state solution. Adelson reportedly planned on investing $180 million in Israel Hayom.

In the United States, Adelson, the head of Las Vegas Sands Corp., has been described as the richest man people have never heard of. The same cannot be said for Israel. Adelson has given hundreds of millions of dollars to right-wing and Zionist causes, and also philanthropy, in Israel and also here. Adelson was one of the leading donors to President Bush’s reelection campaign for 2004. Besides the billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, [Wisconsinites are familiar with these guys] Adelson has few peers in regards to funding right-wing groups.

Regardless of where one stands on Adelson’s signature issues, it is hard to argue in favor of the way in which he wields his money to spread his political views. His money has become a powerful weapon for controversial and, in some cases, maligned causes.

“When Adelson was merely rich, he wrote checks for causes that he favored and for politicians whom he supported,” wrote Connie Bruck in an exhaustive New Yorker profile published in 2008. Occasionally, he demanded to be heard. But he did not expect to play a significant role in U.S. foreign policy, or in Israel’s strategic decisions, or in the fate of a sitting Israeli Prime Minister. That was before he acquired many billions of dollars…His political expenditures and his expectations have increased proportionately.”

As Bruck reported, in Israel, political, academic, and business leaders often turn mum at the mention of Adelson. “There is a discernible amount of self-censorship going on,” said the liberal Israeli-American writer Bernard Avishai, a contributing editor to the Harvard Business Review and previous contributor to the New York Review of Books and Harper’s.

Adelson rarely gives interviews, and when he does they are narrowly focused ones to financial press. In the Forbes regular ranking, Adelson currently stands as the 13th richest American and 73rd richest person in the world. His net worth is $14.7 billion, below his pre-crash high but still well above Las Vegas Sands’ nadir, when its share price almost touched $1. (It is now close to $40.)

Adelson, the son of a Lithuanian immigrant and cabdriver in Boston, borrowed $200 from an uncle to sell newspapers on street corners at age 12. He started a candy-vending-machine operation, attended trade school to become a court reporter, and then entered the Army. His entrepreneurship led him to start many businesses, and the one that broke it open was Comdex, an independent trade show he launched in Las Vegas in 1979. Soon he got into casinos, buying the old Sands Hotel. Then he opened the Venetian, where he tangled with the Culinary Union. He sold Comdex to Japan’s Softbank for $862 million in 1995.

At the beginning of this decade, Adelson made his way into Macau as new gaming licenses were issued, ending the monopoly there of businessman Stanley Ho. The Sands Macau opened in May 2004. Macau turned Adelson into a multibillionaire once he took Las Vegas Sands public.

As his wealth grew, Adelson, once a Democrat, turned to the right, beginning to “favor tax-averse Republican economic policies,” Bruck wrote. “He argued to an associate recently, ‘Why is it fair that I should be paying a higher percentage of taxes than anyone else?’”

With that wealth, Adelson has quietly made his voice heard. He has long been committed to the Jewish state. In recent years, as Ha’aretz reported, Adelson was expected to donate around $200 million to charities every year. (One example is Taglit-Birthright Israel.)

Politically, Adelson is a major contributor to right-wing groups like the Zionist Organization of America, One Jerusalem, the powerful lobby American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, and think tank Adelson Institute for Strategic Studies. He has helped underwrite many congressional trips to Israel for AIPAC and three years ago funded its luxurious new office building. Adelson has also been one of the main donors to right-wing American political action committees, such as Freedom’s Watch and American Solutions.

In recent years, Adelson and his company have faced at least three lawsuits involving their original efforts to secure gaming licenses in Macau. In court, he also has gone after journalists on several occasions, suing for libel by the London Daily Mail, Las Vegas Sun, and Las Vegas Review-Journal, with mixed results.

Which seems strange given his own role behind a daily newspaper. But Adelson has not been shy in using his wealth. As Ben-Dror Yemini, a columnist with the daily Ma’ariv told the Independent (U.K.), “This is endless capital with a political agenda. We have no idea how to deal with it.”

P.S. The thin line in the sky is a fresh cloud being formed from the tail end of an airplane flying way up high in the sky. There were several airplanes doing the same thing. This is the second time I've seen this. The first was when I happened to look up at the clear blue sky on an early morning walk. That day two high flying planes were creative enough to form a checkerboard pattern over the entire sky overhead. And that day too, the sky would've been a pretty clear blue sky... but for the chem clouds.

Gilad Atzmon’s insight into the organism created by the Zionist movement in his book, The Wandering Who, is explosive; it tears the veil off of Israel’s apparent civility, its apparent friendship with the United States, and its expressed solicitude for western powers—Britain, Canada, Australia, France and Germany—exposing behind the veil, the assassin ready to slay any and all that interfere with its tribally focused ends.

In February of this year, Atzmon characterized Islam and Judaism as tribally oriented belief systems rooted not in “enlightened individualism,” but rather in “…the survival of the extended family.” These belief systems have nothing to do with personal liberties or personal rights; they have to do with securing the realm of their respective “ways of life.” But unlike tribalism in Islam, tribalism in Judaism “can never live in peace with humanism and universalism” (4). “Both religions stand as systems that provide thorough answers in terms of spiritual, civil, cultural and day to day matters.” In this regard, “…both Islam and Judaism are more than just religions: they convey an entire ‘way of life,’ and stand as a thorough attempt to answer crucial questions regarding being in the world…”

The Wandering Who is a personal journey of a man born in Jerusalem, raised in the Jewish ‘way of life,’ infused with the myths of the founding of the Jewish state; “Supremacy was brewed into our soul, we gazed at the world through racist, chauvinistic binoculars. And we felt no shame about it either” (5). Inducted into the Israeli military during the 1980s he served in Lebanon, and, in his late teens, experienced an epiphany caused in good measure by careful listening to voices beyond the wall that encircled him in the ghetto that is the Israeli state. This epiphany forced a distinction in identity versus identifying, between self-reliance and obedient servant to an ideology, a distinction that recognized Jews as people, Judaism as a religion, and Jewishness, an ideology that determines identity politics and a resulting political discourse.

What, then, characterizes a Jew? Atzmon distinguishes among those who follow the Judaic religion; those who regard themselves as a human being who happens to be of Jewish origin; and those who put their Jewishness over and above all other traits. Chaim Weizman, the first Israeli President and a Zionist, identified being a Jew as a ‘primary quality’ above citizenship, occupation, head of household, indeed “Jewishness becomes the key element and fundamental characteristic of one’s being.” Vladimir Jabotinsky wrote “…the nucleus of his spiritual structure will always remain Jewish, because his blood, his body, his physical racial type are Jewish” (“A Letter on Autonomy,” 1904). It is this identifying principle that Atzmon sees as corrosive, not only to Judaism, but to the safety and security of the Jewish people, their friends and their neighbors. “…probably then and there I left Chosen-ness behind to become an ordinary human being” (6). “For me to be Jewish is, above all, to be preoccupied with overcoming injustice and thirsting for justice in the world, and that means being respectful toward other peoples regardless of their nationality or religion, and empathetic in the face of human suffering whoever and wherever victimization is encountered” (“On Jewish Identity,” 1/15/2011).

Significantly, Atzmon turns to the ancient tale of the wandering Jew to reap the complexities inherent in the contradictions that beset Judaism in today’s world: tribalism versus universalism, chosen-ness versus democratic equality, rule by defiance of law versus nations ruled by law, control of government by Zionist controlled ideology versus responsiveness to the voice of the citizenry, and tribalistic morality where morals are fabricated for political utilitarian ends versus the inalienable rights of all endowed by nature.

The legend’s primary symbolic value resides in its identification of ‘otherness,’ the unique concept of ‘chosen-ness,’ that separates the Jews from the rest of humanity resulting in an ideological and psychological isolation that becomes a strategic tool used by the Zionists and the Neo-Cons to manipulate the Jewish people and the formation of the Jewish state. Jabotinsky and Weizmann’s “primary quality” of Jewishness prevents assimilation, thus forcing the Jew to remain always an alien wherever he or she resides. Personal identification can only exist in the tribe, a virtual and absolute commitment to Jewishness, making possible the use of Jews around the world as “sayanims” (assistants) to further the goals of the Jewish state (17). “The sayan is a person who would betray the nation of which he is a citizen out of devotion to a notion of a clannish brotherhood” (17).

There are thousands of sayanim around the world. In London alone, there are about 2,000 who are active, and another 5,000 on the list. They fulfill many different roles. A car sayan…running a rental agency, could help the Mossad rent a car without having to complete the usual documentation. … a bank sayan could get you money if you needed it in the middle of the night, a doctor sayan would treat a bullet wound without reporting it to the police…The idea is to have a pool of people available when needed who can provide services but will keep quiet about them out of loyalty to the cause (17).

“In Zionist eyes Jewishness is an international network operation…to be a Jew is a deep commitment that goes far beyond any legal or moral order” (19). Atzmon identifies a functioning organism controlled by Zionist ideology and Neo-Con sayanim in the United States that has yoked Israeli interests to those of the United States using a document titled the USA Defense Planning Guidance Report for fiscal years 1994-1999. “In the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, we seek to foster regional stability, deter aggression against our friends and interests in the region, protect U.S. nationals and property, and safeguard our access to international air and seaways and to the region’s oil. The United States is committed to the security of Israel and to maintaining the qualitative edge that is critical to Israel’s security.” (22). This manipulative strategy “transformed the Jewish tribal mode into a collective functioning system.” It also transformed “the American and British armies into a Zionist mission force” as Israel and the Neo-Cons manipulated the governments of the UK and the US to attack Israel’s enemies in Iraq while imposing sanctions on Syria and defending its occupation and oppression of the Palestinians and its wanton destruction of Lebanon in 2006 and Gaza in 2008-2009.

Atzmon illuminates the inner soul, or more correctly, the lack thereof, of the Israeli state as it has evolved from early Zionism to a politically astute merger of ancient Judaism with secular purposes to attain its goals. It is in this respect the abortive grandchild of Leo Strauss, a Professor and teacher of Paul Wolfowitz and the Neo-Cons who clustered about his determinist altar—Richard Perle (former Defense Policy Board Chairman), William Kristol (Chief Editor of the Weekly Standard), Gary Schmitt (Chairman and Director of the Project for the New American Century), Stephen Campone (Under-Secretary of Defense for Intelligence under Rumsfeld), Abram Shulsky (friend of Perle and head of Rumsfeld’s special intelligence unit sometimes characterized as the “Specious Planning Unit”), Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld who are connected through the PNAC (Project for the New American Century)—all “leaders” of course accepting without question a brand of determinism that controlled human life with some born to lead and the vast majority born to follow.

I had tracked the emergence of this cult that came to power in an article published in 2003, “Moral Insanity: the Cabal that Corrupts,” and offer two paragraphs that capture the consequences of this deception.

Since Strauss taught that nature’s determinism thrust the “wise few” into positions of leadership over the “vulgar many,” and since virtue is defined by the elite who rule, and since morality does not exist, and since justice is merely the interest of the stronger, and since the rule of the wise is absolute, authoritarian and unquestionable, and since religion is “the glue that holds society together,” using religion for political ends, like lying, deception, secrecy, and intimidation, is a good necessary to achieve the determined goals of the government. Manipulation of the “vulgar masses” becomes an end in itself and the distortion of words and concepts becomes the means to that end…

Only a Straussian Cultist would have the arrogance to create a National and International policy on behalf of 300 million people when they represented none of them. Two years later, a year after 9/11, this report became “The National Security Strategy Report of the United States of America,” a document that details how America will act, nationally and internationally, during the second Bush regime. Needless to say, few Americans ever saw the details of this report before it became policy—not the average American citizen nor their representatives in Congress nor the Senate. Yet we are the ones who must pay for the plans these men designed, be victims of the world’s censure as they carry out their designs, and fall prey to their restrictions on civil liberties imposed by this regime as “security measures.”

Atzmon’s analysis reveals strategies used by the Zionists to control their population: “Some marginal politicians seek to publically ‘shame’ their integrated brothers and sisters. This serves two purposes. First, it conveys a clear message that real assimilation is impossible…Second, it pushes the assimilated being towards collaboration with his old clan. ‘You will never escape who you are so you better be proud of it’” (34). But it does not stop there. The Zionist lobbies tell the assimilated Jew “You will never escape who you are so why not be proud of it and work with us.” Indeed, this very assertion undermines a moral foundation as it forces the American Jew to succumb to that “primary quality” of Jewish-ness above loyalty to his nation. “First they are Jews and only then are they humanists” (35).

Zionism, as Atzmon notes, has used Jewish ‘separatism’ and its resulting ‘insecurity in relations with his fellow beings’ to coerce obedience and commitment. This tactic has been characteristic of the Zionist power since the Mandate period. In the Introduction to The Plight of the Palestinians, I presented evidence of such coercion from the classified documents of the British Mandate Police, most especially the Hagana Oath that forced an allegiance to the Zionist High Command:

The Haganah Oath goes deeper than fear. In effect, it declares that an individual has turned his/her conscience over to the High Command thus accepting what is right and what is wrong as determined by that authority regardless of local, state or international law, indeed, regardless of the morals, values and traditions of Judaism. This commitment is forever, to death.

From the moment an individual takes the oath, they are committed to a life of secrecy and hence of disloyalty and betrayal to those they are most intimate with in their day to day life. Neither their actions nor their true identity is discernible to those with whom they interact regularly. This is a life that encapsulates the necessity of lies, deceit, coercion, extortion, and obedience to a group that dictates the actions one must pursue; freedom no longer exists, self-direction no longer exists, loyalty to others no longer exists, indeed, friendship with others is compromised or impossible, one becomes the subject of that group, a veritable slave to their desires and wills. The mindset that promotes such control allows for spying, for deception of friends, for ostracism in one’s own community for thinking differently, for imprisonment without due process, for torture, even for extrajudicial executions. It is a total commitment to a cause that supersedes all others determined and dictated by an oligarchy in silence and subject to no legitimate institution and to no one (xxvi).

Atzmon elaborates on his contention that the Zionists intentionally manipulate Jewish separatism to their advantage by instilling a myth of persistent persecution against Jews as evidence of their need to support the Israeli enterprise, a virtual effort at ghetto building, and one that results in a form of Pre-Traumatic Stress Syndrome induced by a continual grand narrative of Israeli victimization caused by the Holocaust: being driven into the sea, being wiped off the map, delegitimized, all portend the impending disaster that awaits the Jewish state.

Such perception forces the Diaspora Jew to confront the significance of the promise and fulfillment of the Zionist dream, the return to Zion. “By bonding Eretz Yisrael and the Diaspora continuum, the Settler replaces the ‘negation of the Diaspora’ with a ‘negation of the Goyim’ (a return of the Jewish pre-Zionist condition).” This effectively stops the possibility of Jewish assimilation and promotes a return to tribal distinctiveness, albeit with political and global interests. Concomitantly, “It leaves the Diaspora Jew in limbo. He or she is neither assimilated into their surrounding social environment nor settled in a Jewish state” (43). Rejection then of the Zionist call must be understood as an act of treason or a form of self-hatred. Unfortunately, yet reflective of the symbolic nature of the legend of the Wandering Jew, “…it emphasizes the racist and expansionist Judeo-centric nature of the Jewish State. .. and the Diaspora Jew finds himself or herself intrinsically associated with a bigoted, ethnocentric ideology and an endless list of crimes against humanity” (43).

Chosen-ness determines its own end. What the Chosen believes through the books that give them their unique status must be truth. Since the words used are not theirs, but the words of their G-d, they are immune from the limitations of language (32). The Chosen need only respond to themselves to find identity, but in their affiliation with their group, not humanity at large. Atzmon notes that the religious understanding of Chosen-ness carries with it a moral burden to “stand as an exemplary model of ethical behavior,” but in the Zionist mind that has been “reduced to a crude, ethno-centric, blood-oriented chauvinism”… a kind of “tribal supremacism, in which ‘love yourself as much as you hate everyone else’ becomes a pragmatic reality” (86). Consequently, “This form of supremacy lies at the heart of the Zionist claim for Palestine, at the expense of its indigenous inhabitants” (87). Justice is not a consideration.

Perhaps the most insidious corruption imposed on the Jewish people and on their religion by the Zionists who garnered control of the new state of Israel was the manipulation of the Holocaust into both a religion and an industry. Norman Finkelstein covers the creation of the industry, Atzmon, with the help of Professor Yeshayahu Leibowitz, a Latvian-born philosopher at the Hebrew University, and Adi Ophir, an Israeli philosopher and Associate Professor at the Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas at Tel Aviv University, takes on the description and the consequences of transforming the Holocaust into a religion. Leibowitz, according to Uri Avnery (19.3.05, “Remember What? Remember How?), stated that “The Jewish religion died 200 years ago. Now there is nothing that unifies the Jews around the world apart from the Holocaust.” Atzmon suggests that Lebowitz might have been the first to recognize that the Holocaust had been made into a religion with priests, prophets, commandments and dogmas, rituals and temples.

The Holocaust religion is, obviously, Judeo-centric to the bone. It defines the Jewish raison d’etre. For Zionist Jews, it signifies a total fatigue of the Diaspora, and regards the goy as a potential irrational murderer. This new Jewish religion preaches revenge. It could well be the most sinister religion known to man, for in the name of Jewish suffering, it issues licenses to kill, to flatten, to nuke, to annihilate, to loot, to ethnically cleanse. It has made vengeance into an acceptable Western value (127).

Let us return now to the wandering Jew of legend. In 1848, Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote “A Virtuoso’s Collection,” an exotic tale of the strange and fantastic that subsumes the legend in the personage of the Virtuoso.

Hawthorne uses the legend to capture that mystery of behaviour that has haunted writers for centuries, a mystery that still befuddles our scientists that search for an explanation for actions that seem devoid of “natural sympathies,” actions that elicit no response to human suffering, emotional or psychological, to physical pain and anguish, to loss of those loved, a child, a son or daughter, a father or mother, actions inflicted for no perceivable reason, where guilt has not been determined nor compassion considered. The legend captures the man that witnesses the suffering of the innocent, the Christ bearing His cross though guilty of nothing but the spirit of human compassion for his brothers and sisters, the sacrifice of atonement, yet mocks the innocent to “go on quicker,” for the Wanderer “is linked with the realities of this earth… to what I can see, and touch, and understand, and I ask for no more.” Nothing can stand in his way as he rushes through life acquiring all that this world can offer, and at any expense, regardless of his impact on others. “The soul is dead within him,” Hawthorne proclaims, the natural sympathy for his fellow humans does not exist.

Hawthorne grappled with this image of the lost soul, severed from the roots that carry all in the concept of humanity, where each is a brother or a sister to another and to all; where the teachings of the faiths that sustain humankind across the globe find love and compassion the fundamental life force that binds all and gives meaning to all; where mercy and kindness serve to heal and advance the commonwealth; where the island that is this planet unites all humankind in bonds of necessary and never ending ties if there is to be a future for our children; this is the source of the human spirit that emanates from one all embracing soul that is the common experience of all that must endure the suffering and pain that is this life suffused and made endurable by the springs of love that give joy to the world. This is a concept that requires of all, sharing of all things, that each might survive despite the ravages of time and circumstance. It is the essence of all faiths that truly believe in the human spirit and the uncertainties that control our lives. It finds repulsive, as a consequence, those who seek to destroy the unity of spirit that binds all together in favour of personal gain, sought in the material acquisitions made possible in this world, regardless of the havoc wrought to achieve their ends.

The image of the Wandering Jew reflects that person who abandons his fellows for personal gain, who forfeits human love and compassion for the artefacts of this world gained at any expense, satisfied with the acquisition of wealth, of position, of power even when achieved by devastation and death since ultimately only he exists and all routes to his end are achieved. All humans are expendable and are, then, by definition inferior to the man free of moral or spiritual restraints.

The Wandering Jew is then, as metaphor, another rendering of the story of Cain who slew his brother, for which act he was cursed by God Almighty to wander the earth a fugitive…. The Wandering Jew, like Cain, is Everyman” (William A. Cook, “The Eternal Jew Goes on Forever,” 8/24/2009).

Gilad Atzmon brings us to this understanding as it applies in our day; he is our Hawthorne who journeys through our time to illuminate the consequences of actions that deny, indeed, that defy the oneness of humanity to benefit the few at the expense of the many. He writes a critical and devastating explanation of Jewishness as it has been manipulated to control the Jewish people and impose the will of the Zionist dictators in Israel and the U.S. on the American people through control of the U.S. Congress. He unravels the nuances that veil the arrogance, the deceit, and the hypocrisy of those in power, why they are so bound by terrorism and force, revealing in the process the horror of their betrayal and the emptiness of their words.

He comprehends Hawthorne’s description of the Virtuoso, the Wandering Jew, as it fittingly captures the mindset of those who impose a deterministic and amoral direction on political events both in the United Nations and the United States, “…there was a bitterness indefinably mingled with his tone, as of one cut off from natural sympathies, and blasted with a doom that had been inflicted on no other human being, and by the results of which he had ceased to be human. Yet…it seemed one of the most terrible consequences of that doom, that the victim no longer regarded it as a calamity, but had finally accepted it as the greatest good that could have befallen him.”

That frame of mind accepts no guilt because it has rejected personal conscience as the basis for actions in lieu of tribal security; the tribe alone determines right: individualism, natural rights, self-reliance, personal responsibility in a democracy no longer exists. This mindset, clustered in a functioning, global, tribal concentration of power, focuses on one voice, theirs. It denies democracy yet calls itself democratic; it speaks of universalism but protects only itself; it proclaims brotherhood with nations that exist by rule of law even as it defies all laws but its own; it presents itself as a nation imbued with the righteous morals of ancient times yet establishes policies that are apartheid in character.

To not defend this frame of mind is to damn self and the Jewishness that gives them an identity. It is in effect a self-inflicted torture; an incredibly powerful identity fabricated out of ancient tales that gives the most ordinary of them superiority over others who must be denigrated and even destroyed. It’s a tribal character, protection of the group at all cost or lose self in the multitudes with which one must live. It had a place in ancient days, but cannot exist in a world where 192 nations share covenants with each other based on equality, respect and human dignity.

To hold to their beliefs they must negate similarity and equity, as well as justice and freedom for all. Given the power they possess and the money they use to control the U.S. Congress and the British Parliament, with similar controls being exerted in Canada, Australia, France and Germany, as Atzmon graphically demonstrates, the dangers of an elite few dominating the direction of international policies threatens international security and the quest for peace.

Or consider the recently released “Lost Films of World War II” which is currently their most recent glorification of war in general, and WWII, the Great War Against Fascism which showcases, entirely out of demographic and representative proportions, the “struggle, and sacrifice” of the Jews and the “incredible” horrors of the “holocaust.”

Incredible? Take careful note of the way in which History Channel and their producers present them, which merely makes them all the more incredible.

I recently viewed the story being aired, of a young Lieutenant, or perhaps a Captain, who upon landing in North Africa suddenly found his company bogged down and slowed in its advance by a group of German soldiers who had surrendered to him, – the prisoners of war, for that was who they now were, were apparently docile and weaponless, so he decided to send them “to the rear” under the guard of one solitary soldier with a single M-1 rifle, while he and the rest of his company pressed onward.

Shortly after the soldier and the prisoners march off, gunshots are heard.

The soldier returns, alone, and rejoins the company.

The Captain appears, and relates,

”I suddenly realized what he had done…he had taken the prisoners off and shot them all! I was so outraged that my hand went to my pistol… I wanted to shoot him! But, one of my men restrained me. ‘Sir, you do not know this,’ he said, but he is a Jew… and the Nazis killed his entire family.’ What could I do? Send him back to HQ under arrest? My orders were to push on in pursuit of the Germans, and I needed every man I had, so I pushed on!”

Wow, dramatic! Reminiscent of those old “B” movies made by Warner brothers, which starred other Great American Heroes of the Wars, John Wayne and Ronald Reagan.

Let us stop and consider a few time-related facts;

At the time this North African atrocity purportedly happened, “the holocaust” was as yet unknown. It did not become a popular theme until Elie Wiesel invented and popularized it years later, after the war was over. At the time of this incident in North Africa, every Officer and every man in the company would have known who was a “Jew boy” in the unit, and who wasn’t. It wouldn’t have mattered or made much difference one way or another to very many of them, but every GI and Officer in the unit would have known!

It was a fact of the times, that Jews stood out, and many of them were regarded, and derided, and heckled, and hazed, persecuted, and yes, discriminated against as “Jew boys.” And frankly, no one, or very few other than Jews, were very interested at all in what was happening to European Jews among all those others who were held and worked to death in those German Forced Labor Camps. Not until, that is, Elie Wiesel took over, rewrote the Jewish version of the History of WWII and invented the “holocaust” Industry, an effective and well-chosen but deliberately inaccurate and misleading name for his game.

I am sure that US and other soldiers, on many occasions, took prisoners of war around behind the bushes, out of sight of their superiors and, with or without their superiors knowledge, concurrence or tolerance, simply shot them dead rather than be bothered with watching and caring for them. After all, they were “the enemy,” eh? And, we were trained and indoctrinated to ”kill the enemy.”

It was right there in North Africa at that same time that General George Patton made his famous remark to those very same troops about killing enemies… making them die for their countries!.

But, I am equally sure that this episode did not happen as it is presented and that the writer is not a very good writer, nor are the actors more than sorry amateurs, probably even real people representing themselves, once soldiers, once again “serving their country…” but not doing a very convincing or persuasive job at reading script.

No one could do that better than Ronnie Reagan, not even the Great John Wayne!

Speaking of the Warner brothers, there is the “Lost Films” episode of Jack Werner (no relation, other than ethnic) who as a young man escaped the Nazi pogroms of Austria and the holocaust by fleeing to America, in 1939 and joining the US Army, where he almost single-handedly, as the History Channel would have you infer, liberated Attu Island, from the Japanese.

I am sure Jack Werner served courageously and honourably in the US Army during the war… as did many others. And, I am equally sure he believed in what he was doing, fighting a true enemy and a threat to Freedom and Liberty. We all believed!

But, the story has been, as History Channel describes the films were, resurrected, renovated and restored, using modern techniques to highlight, clarify and improve the color and preventability of the films.

It is rewritten, and with “improved” or elaborated history. Better and truer fact than it ever was? And, the Jewish participation and contribution, as important, valuable and commendable as it was, is exaggerated far beyond the proportion of their actual representation and efforts, as were the “horrors” of the holocaust [There were death camps of mass execution. Those camps were work and relocation camps located safe away from the Allied bombing of German cities, which gentile Germans were subjected to.] as bad as they were. They were, indeed, a war crime, bordering on genocide, if you insist, but a “holocaust?” Spare me! This is good fiction, but it certainly isn’t good History!

And, as such, I do not find it entertaining!

Jack Werner was and is a good man, I am sure, but he was not the entire battalion who landed on Attu or Kwajalein.

The dramatic tension, spirit of sacrifice, the suffering the persecution and horrors of the “holocaust” are all there, presented in the same incompetent, sophomoronic and banal writing, bad stagecraft, and amateurish propaganda techniques which Warner Brothers presented all those glorious and fun movies of the “B” rating era when they cranked out one mediocre production per week to reel the public into the cinemas with bad drama, badly presented in bad movies.

The resurrection of these crude techniques along with phony story-lines is an insult to the intelligence of any modern thinking man who should know better, but I am sure that Joe and Jenny Sixpack are glued to their Telly screens every evening as closely and avidly as their mothers and fathers, grandmothers and fathers religiously went to the cinema every Friday evening or Saturday matinee to see and enjoy the weekly “B” rated drama of John Wayne saving the world from the evil Hun or the Jap, and Ronnie Reagan saving the homesteader or the virtuous saloon whore from the evil rancher or the town banker.

How well I remember the scene of John Wayne cradling a .50 cal M-2 Field Machine gun on his hip and shooting down a diving Jap Zero! Remarkable! Hard enough to hit one of those fast flying things with a mounted .50 cal MG.

Anyone who has ever fired one of those highly effective and very mature weapons must have surely had a good laugh on that one!

Great drama. Don’t miss it.

But, the monolithic structure of the ‘Holocaust “ memorial is in deep trouble and danger if this is what the ADL and the Zionist propaganda support forces have been forced to resort to in an attempt to resurrect the slowly dying and rotting corpse of the “holocaust Industry”

We just don’t have the time to deal much longer with a mob of insane and power crazed ethnics who pretend they are living in a world three millennia ago, and act like it.

I remember in 1945 and ’46 when the breaking news of the Liberation of Europe was full of the “Concentration Camps,” and the photos of the prisoners, skinny, undernourished guys with jutting bones. It was some time before it became obvious that these were death camps, and used for “massive executions.”

I never believed it then, and reading these first hand accents does not convince me today that it ever happened.

I could write better fiction than this when I was six years old and was not sure what a comma was. But, I am also not Jewish, do not think like one, and still do not understand how anyone can believe this crap!

Yes, I believe it “could have happened,” because I have seen credible photos and read of Israelis who have been doing the same kind of things for sixty years. And, I am sure that there were some incredible murderers in the SS, and in charge of those German labor camps. But I just don’t believe they were camps which were maintained just to kill people, and I don’t believe that there were gas chambers and “ovens” in which people were executed.

Given the health and living conditions in those camps, and in Germany as a whole toward the end of the war, I suspect that there were a number of crematoriums designed and built just to take care of disposing of the bodies from abnormally high death rates…. after all, the Americans and the British had bombed them all pretty well into starvation.

I guess all of the above makes me a “denier,” and in violation of a lot of laws in many Civilized countries. Perhaps I should go and turn myself in as a threat to peace, lest I forget and allow it to happen again?

If it does “happen again,” can I say that I just hope that they get it right the next time?

However, it was not mentioned that the two brothers were Israeli citizens and their father, Victor Tchenguiz, was an Iranian Jew and the royal jeweler of King Reza Shah (d. 1979). According to The Telegraph (March 6, 2010), Vincent Tchenguizs once dated Dorrit Moussaieff, the Israeli-born Jewish wife of Iceland’s President Dr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson.

Now, why I am mentioning this Jewish power in the tiny country Iceland with a population of 320,000? Well, the other day, I read Manfred Gerstenfeld’s Op-ed in Israeli daily YNet (July 18, 2011), entitled ‘Iceland against Israel’. Dr. Manfred is a political activist and Chairman of Board of Fellows at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. His grievances against Icelanders are not much different to the anti-Israel activities of Norwegians, which really scares me.

Manfred list many reasons to slam Iceland as Anti-Semitic - highlighting Iceland government’s “considerable arrogance toward Israel“.

Iceland’s FM Ossur Skarphedinsson visited Hamas territory Gaza last week. He promised Palestinians Iceland’s support in their bid for statehood at the next United Nations General Assembly. He studiously avoided any diplomatic contact with Israel on that trip but visited Jordan and Egypt. Earlier this month, the Icelandic Birgitta Jonsdottir was the first parliamentarian of any country to visit participants of the Israeli sabotaged Gaza flotilla II.

During 2010 United Nations General assembly meeting – Iceland’s foreign minister spoke out against Israel. When FM Lieberman wrote to him on this issue, Skarphedinsson did not answer. He did not even confirm receipt of Lieberman’s letter. Skarphedinsson also ordered Icelandic diplomats to remain in the hall while Iranian President Ahmadinejad spoke at the Durban review conference in Geneva in 2009. Diplomats from almost all other European countries left.

The Icelandic Parliament had condemned Israel and some members suggested placing sanctions on the Zionist entity or even breaking off relations with it. When the Olmert government sent Minister Yuli Tamir to Europe during the Gaza invasion (2008-09) , Iceland refused to receive her.

In the 17th century, Icelandic clergyman Hallgrimur Pétursson composed a wide selection of hymns. In these hymns, Jews are mentioned more than 50 times, yet only for their “perfidy, falseness, wickedness and other malice.”

Iceland had refused to prosecute Evald Mikson who allegedly murdered Jews in his native Estonia until 1993. Mikson had found refuge in Iceland where his sons played in the national soccer team. You watched it. First Wolf Blitzer, the notorious Israeli agent anchorman, comes on CNN and announces that the Norway mass murders were done by Al-Qaeda, providing yet another reason, he says, why we should ramp up the War on Terror.

Shortly thereafter, when the mythmakers realize that story won’t fly, it is announced that the Norway massacre was carried out by some unknown party. Never, in any newspaper in the United States, is there a mention that the Norway atrocities were carried out by Israel, by Jews, by “friends” of Israel and Jews.

This is the implementation of cognitive dissonance at its finest, as the blurring of political categories keeps everyone confused. Jewish diversity at its best. CNN’s story about al-Qaeda doing the Norway murders is about as credible as Saddam having weapons of mass destruction, or Germans gassing 6 million Jews during a period of time, demographics has shown, when the Jewish population of Europe increased.

Uncountable TRILLIONS of dollars have been stolen by Israel, by Jews, by “friends” of Israel and the Jews, and continue to be stolen as we speak, in a million different ways, while anesthetized Americans find any excuse to look the other way, fearful of forfeiting their paychecks from whatever employer is facing the inevitable question: If I offend the Jews, will they put me out of business? The young people killed in Norway were the finest, most caring and most intelligent, that Norway had to offer. The murderous Norway caper pretty much blows away the remaining fragments over the long-discredited story that the 9/11 attacks were done by Muslims to provide the lame excuse for the War on Terror against the entire Islamic world. Can’t you get it through your heads? All the terror attacks — 9/11, Madrid, London, Bali, Mombasa, Yemen and now Norway, all of them false flag operations coordinated by the real axis of evil in the world: the Mossad, the CIA and MI-6, to convince the world that it is threatened by terror.

True, the world is threatened by terror. Only the people fighting terror are the ones manufacturing terror so they can fight it. This is a very Jewish philosophy, it’s what they do, it’s what they have always done and will continue to do.

The underlying psyop message to the world from the Norway abomination is that if you actively work to oppose the Jews, you could be gunned down at any time by Jewish sayanim or mind-controlled Gentile slaves who are programmed or drugged to repress their human instincts and become solely an instrument of Jewish policy — which, in case you haven’t yet learned, Jewish policy is to kill or enslave every non Jew in the world. But then, that’s not such a change in the facts on the ground. People have always been getting killed for their political beliefs. Many writers have commented that assassination has been the one political tool that has governed American history more than anything else.

From Jack Ruby to Dylan Klebold. When you dig deeply, it seems like all the assassinations that ever happened were carried out by Jews, or by people operated by Jews. Consider that when you consider the Norway assassinations, 68 of them.

A point at which the global media asks us to turn our attentions in a particular direction.

They want us to believe that one man singlehandedly devised and executed this hellish massacre of more than 85 defenseless teenagers – most of whom were ethnically Norwegian -- the same class he has allegedly vowed to protect from ethnic dilution -- for the sole purpose of punishing the Labor Party responsible for allowing Muslims into Norway. It is difficult to imagine a more absurd and illogical motive.

To add insult to injury, they want us to believe that he used 6 tons of fertilizer to build a car bomb that tore through the center of Oslo destroying buildings across a 5 block radius, singlehandedly authored (and edited) a fifteen hundred page manifesto detailing his nefarious plan, and designed and produced a movie trailer to accompany it.

Not a particularly convincing narrative to say the least.

But it's not just what the media says that's so incredible. It's what they don't say.

They don't question how he was able to secure what looks like an official police uniform. Nor do they point out that his alleged manual includes parts of which, by some accounts, are lifted verbatim from the infamous Unabomber’s Manifesto. But most importantly, they never include among the list of potential culprits with compelling motives to attack Norway, the chief suspect among them.

This leads us to confirm that which we already know - the mainstream media cannot be trusted.

We must find the truth on our own. Which in turn leads us to a far more logical and likely possibility than the pc manure they advance - the very real likelihood that this man was aided and directed by the only ideologues on earth that have ample motive to hit Norwegians where it hurts the most, hopefully taking them out of the game, and with the same stroke, set in motion a mortal worldwide clash between the last two forces that oppose it.

I'm not with the Ugly Truth warrior on this one. I guess I'm one of very few that thinks that the “Holocaust” lie should be exposed for what it is right along with the 9-11 lie. I think it should be pointed out that both lies are brought to us by and for the same... “people.” I think that the two should be constantly linked together and compared. Who's controlling the truth about both official myths? Who's benefitting from both myths?

The early American colonists of the 17th Century were beholden to the Bank of England’s Jewish owners — paying taxes from their labor — as repayment for funding the “opportunity” to create a new way of life in the New World.

Struggling to be released from the burden of debt to the Bank of England, the colonists established the Massachusetts Bay Company, printing its own home-grown paper money in 1690, a currency not backed by silver or gold.

In other words, it was a fiat money, rejected by England’s parliament, in a continual conflict with their American subjects regarding taxes and all other debts.

By 1742, with every colonial Royal Governor instructed to curtail the issue of colonial money, the British Resumption Act required that taxes be paid in gold. This caused a depression in the colonies - property was seized by the Royalists for one-tenth of its value.

Benjamin Franklin, a supporter of the colonies printing their own money, stated in his autobiography, that the main cause of the Revolutionary War of 1776 was not the tax on tea or the Stamp Act but King George’s refusal to accept the paper money of his subjects. By winning the war in 1783, the colonists took control of their own government.

Yet, America remained in debt to the Jewish owners of the Bank of England, which by this time included the Rothschilds, Montefiores, Goldsmids, Mocattas, and the Oppenheimers, (all powerful Jewish families with control of the gold trade), led by Nathan Mayer Rothschild. A DEBT BURDENED NATION

THE COLONISTS MAY HAVE WON THE WAR but they were still in bondage to the Jewish Bankers.

Reeling under the debt, the united States re-introduced taxes to pay off their Jewish masters.

Thus, Alexander Hamilton, agent of international Jewry, pressured Congress to pass the 1791 Assumption Act — which created America’s first national bank, the First Bank of America, chartered by the private Bank of England for a term of twenty years — in its plan to control the monies of the so-called “independent” united States.

In other words, in creating this bank, America was forced to charter it with the same Jewish bankers that were holding its debts before the “war of independence.”

In 1811, the twenty year contract with the Bank of England expired. The struggling new nation refused to renew the charter with its attendant enslavement.

In response, England waged war with America in what we now call the War of 1812. The Brits invaded Washington DC burning down the White House, the Treasury Department Building, and the Library of Congress.

Although “court historians” claim that America “won” the War of 1812, it actually lost it.

The accumulated debt as a result of this war dictated the creation of a new central bank by European financiers. Thus, in 1816, President James Madison was compelled to sign into law the Second Bank of the United States. And again, it was chartered by the private Bank of England which held 80% ownership.

And so, America’s enslavement to Jewish bankers continued for yet another 20 years.

FREE AT LAST?

FOUR YEARS BEFORE the charter was set to expire in 1836, President Andrew Jackson vetoed its renewal putting the Rothschilds and their fellow Jews out of business in America.

Jackson not only asserted the unconstitutional minting of US money by private interests but also had the brains to fix the problem.

Although now misunderstood by economists such as Lyndon LaRouche and associates, for the greater good of America, President Jackson sent federal troops into the states who refused, (albeit indirectly), to pay off the debt to Jewish bankers, forcing those states to collect taxes.

For seventy-seven years, although argued that Jewish financing of America’s railroads and gold trafficking kept the nation under Jewry’s thrall, America was no longer under the heel of Jewish bankers. Andrew Jackson, remarkably…federal force notwithstanding…paid off the debt.

How in the world have your invasions and occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq defended our freedoms here at home? Indeed, how have the assassinations and bombings in Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, and who knows where else defended our freedoms?

All these things have accomplished is keeping foreigners angry at us, thereby subjecting us to the constant and ever-growing threat of terrorist retaliation here at home. This past Sunday, the Washington Post carried an article about American wives who were recently greeting their husbands on their return from Afghanistan. Newlywed Anne Krolicki, 24, commented to her husband on the death of one of her friends’ husband: “It’s a pointless war,” she said.

That lady has her head on straight. She’s has a grip on reality, doesn’t deal in tired old mantras, and speaks the truth. Every U.S. soldier who dies in Iraq and Afghanistan dies for nothing, which was the same thing that some 58,000 men of my generation died for in Vietnam.

Please don’t write me to tell me that you all are good people or that you’re “patriots” for simply following whatever orders you are given. All that is irrelevant. What matters is what you are doing over there. And what you are doing is not defending our freedoms, you are jeopardizing them.

Thousands at the Border

I grew up in Lebanon during the civil war and the Israeli occupation of the south. During that time a revolutionary song by Julia Butros, “Wayn al-Malayeen?” (where are the millions), was continually heard. But as a child I never understood what she meant when she sang “Where are the millions? Where are the Arab people?”

In 2006 during the Israeli war on Lebanon I heard the song again. I was 25; this time I understood what it meant and that line kept playing endlessly in my head throughout the 33 days of war.

Last Sunday, on the way to the border, the bus driver played that song. In light of the Arab revolutions that are happening at the moment, millions of Arabs have taken to the streets to demand their freedom, to demand their rights and to speak out for the first time (at least since I have been alive). On 15 May the same millions took to the streets, only this time to demand the liberation of Palestine: their freedom, their right.

That day at 7:30am we gathered in front of Mar Elias Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut. There were five buses already full of people and on the street there were about a hundred others waiting for more buses. Finally, we learned there were no more buses and we would have to rent additional ones. I got into our rented bus full of enthusiasm and good vibes; the journey back to Palestine had started. The crowd on the bus was an interesting mix of people of different nationalities and as we sat down we were all Palestine, we were all Palestinian.

For weeks I had anxiously awaited 15 May, the Third Palestinian Intifada. Many people had started referring to it as such on social networks, and I myself loved the sound of it and so this is how I would refer to it every time I spoke about it. However, 15 May is the Nakba (catastrophe) commemoration; on this day we remember that more than 750,000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes, their land, to make way for a new country and people to be put in their place.

To me Palestine was and still is the central cause in the Arab world, and I always believed that the liberation of Palestine would not happen before the liberation of the Arab people from the corrupt ruling dictatorships. The west like to call them the Arab moderates but in reality this means Arab puppets. Today however the Arab world is changing and the Arab people are revolting, and while they are revolting they have not forgotten about Palestine or the suffering and occupation their Palestinian brethren are going through.

In closely following the Arab uprisings since the protests in Tunisia started, I have always seen at least one Palestinian flag among the protesters in every Arab country. Palestine has always been present during the protests. Palestine has always been present in the hearts and conscience of the Arab people. The “malayeen” or millions are speaking now and their united voice is hitting the sky. Yesterday, again, the Arab people spoke: the people want to liberate Palestine; the people want to return to Palestine.

The road to Palestine
The trip from Beirut took longer than it should along the coast to the south; hundreds of buses and cars displayed Palestinian flags, and on the sides of the roads big billboards read: “May 15th: the march to return.” I have never felt so delighted when looking at a billboard before.

On the windy road from Nabatiyeh to Maroun al-Ras, the endless line of buses continued, the windows full of people waving to each other and flashing the V for victory sign. We felt like we were really going back to Palestine. On the bus three Palestinian friends and I jokingly but sincerely started making plans about where in Jerusalem we were going to have a coffee, or should we just go to Haifa and enjoy the beach there, we teased, believing it somehow.

As the bus wound through the lush green valleys of the south, blooming with flowers and life, I couldn’t help but notice many buses with Syrian license plates. “Had these people come all the way from Syria?” I wondered. But no, I was told there were not enough buses in Lebanon, so some had been rented from Syria.

Contrary to our original plans, the bus had to stop in Bint Jbeil, a village a few kilometers away from our destination — the border at Maroun al-Ras. The village had been turned into a big parking lot for buses carrying people from a dozen refugee camps all over Lebanon and the many Lebanese that wanted to march to the border. We jumped out of the bus and without asking how we would get to the border, we found ourselves joining thousands of people walking through the green fields and climbing mountains as a short-cut to our shared destination.

It was an approximately five kilometer walk or more accurately, a hike. It was beautiful to see endless lines of people marching from different directions in the green land. Next to me were Palestinian families who had brought the young ones and dressed them up for the occasion. There were old women and men who struggled to climb the steep hills and there was a great spirit of solidarity among the people as everyone gave a hand, everyone offered to help, and everyone smiled.

My wife and I slowed our pace at one point to listen to an old Palestinian man leaning on a cane. He was walking with his grandson and telling him the story of the time he had had to leave Palestine and carry his nine-year-old sister while escaping to Lebanon over these very same mountains and paths. The old man spoke to his grandson of the beauty of Palestine and described how their home looked.

Finally, as we gradually drew closer to the border, he told the young boy, “Soon you will go and see Palestine, the most beautiful country I have ever seen; it’s where we come from. It’s our land.”

Shooting from the valley
We finally got to Maroun al-Ras, a public space on top of a mountain overlooking occupied Palestine. There were thousands of people scattered all over the mountain top and a big screen was broadcasting what was happening down in the valley. Before we could properly take in our surroundings I heard shooting, four or five shots from below us in the valley.

I told my wife the Israelis are shooting, and a minute after that, a person on the microphone called for the ambulance to bring down stretchers to the fence. I asked what was happening and people told me four martyrs had fallen and more than twenty were injured.

A wave of people stretched from the park on the top of the hill all the way down to the border fence. I found myself sliding on that wave, stopping every once in a while to catch my breath and wonder whether I should stay where I was or keep going down to the fence. I could not contain the desire to join the thousands on the fence already throwing stones across the border. From a distance, the stones looked like white birds diving to the other side.

I finally made it to what they were calling the second line, approximately 500 meters away from the border fence. There were ambulances parked nearby and the Lebanese army had formed a human chain to prevent more people from joining those at the border fence.

Many Palestinian young men and women kept insisting on breaking the chain the Lebanese army had made, wanting to join their brothers and sisters on the front line. Watching the faces of the Lebanese soldiers, all I could see was confusion and panic, but they were not losing any chance to threaten and intimidate the protesters with their raised batons and sticks.

All their guns were directed to the sky
Standing in front of the army were a few Palestinian men pleading with the raging people not to take it out on the Lebanese army. “This is not what we were here for,” they shouted over the chants. That did not stop the people, and even with the knowledge that the land between them was littered with mines, people kept breaking through the chain and sprinting to join the front line.

One group of courageous young women broke the chain of men and ran towards the front line and everyone cheered them on. All this time the Israelis were shooting, a burst of two or three shots rang out frequently, and every time they shot we saw the stretchers gathering new bodies.

At 4:00pm we decided to climb up the steep mountain and walk back to catch our bus. After a couple minutes of walking, I noticed the Lebanese army moving towards the front line, the fence; they reached the protesters who started loudly chanting “Palestine! Palestine!” As the army made their way to the very front it looked like they had decided the protest was over, and suddenly, with no warning, the Lebanese army on the front and the second line started firing thousands of rounds into the air.

All their guns where directed to the sky, but the amount of shooting terrorized everyone who was there. We all started sprinting up the steep mountain; a random man pulled my arm and dragged me up with him as I struggled to keep up on my feet. The firing intensified and there were the same waves of people this time running in panic. Next to me there were lost children, crying, wanting their parents; an old man ran out of breath, crouched down; I saw an old Palestinian woman running up the mountain with tears running down her face.

Looking back down to where the second line was, I could only see a line of soldiers with their M16 rifles to the sky, shooting nonstop. It was like something out of the movies. But something even more terrorizing happened in the middle of the shooting. As the Lebanese fired their guns I heard deeper shots coming from the Israeli side and bullets whizzed by me; I took a dive to the ground. The way the Lebanese army decided to end the event made me ask myself, who is the enemy here?

Nothing to lose but our chains
The march to return left at least ten persons dead in Lebanon and many others in Syria and Palestine, while in Egypt the people were prevented from reaching the border.

People who normally don’t care about Palestine and enjoy a life of apathy and consumerism asked me today, what did you achieve? What did you change? Was it worth it the death of tens of people?

My answer is the following: after yesterday, things will not be the same as before 15 May. Just like after Muhammad Bouazizi, things are not the same as before he shook the Arab world. The Arab people, us, the Arab youth, we are not going to let the status quo continue, we are not going to be humiliated by our own people anymore. We are not going to let Palestine and the Palestinian people be humiliated and tortured every time they breathe.

We are freedom-loving people and we won’t live anymore on empty promises from our corrupt governments who use Palestine as a pretext to repress us while they enjoy stealing from our pockets. We won’t let them continue to make sure Israel is safe and sound, enjoying the beautiful land of Palestine, while hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees live in inhumane conditions in the camps.

How do you expect a Palestinian refugee to see his land being enjoyed by the Israeli occupation and not react to that? We, the Arab people, the Arab youth, the millions, have decided that we have nothing to lose but our chains and that Palestine is our prize. I saw yesterday how much the people want to free Palestine, how much they want return to Palestine. The Arab people are here, the Arab rage is here, the malayeen are here.

It could prove more problematic for Israel than the suicide bombings and other deadly violence of the past — which the current Palestinian Authority leadership feels only tainted their cause.

After attempted border breaches from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Gaza left 15 Palestinians dead Sunday, Israeli officials openly puzzled over how to handle an unfamiliar new phase.

"The Palestinians' transition from terrorism and suicide bombings to deliberately unarmed mass demonstrations is a transition that will present us with difficult challenges," said Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Sunday's protests were driven by renewed hopes that Palestinian statehood — at least as an internationally approved idea within specific borders — is approaching after years of paralysis.

The optimism is fed by reconciliation efforts between the Islamic militant Hamas and the Western-backed Fatah movement after a four-year split, as well as growing international support for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' plan to seek U.N. recognition of a state in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem in September over Israel's objections.

Although some say U.N. recognition will change little on the ground, the pro-democracy revolts in the Arab world have instilled a new sense of possibility among Palestinians, who had been dejected after two failed uprisings against Israeli rule and fruitless peace talks over the past 20 years.

Meanwhile, the Facebook generation is increasingly taking a lead in the Palestinian arena, at times sidelining political veterans stuck to more traditional ways.

"There is a new energy, a new dynamism," said Hanan Ashrawi, a former Palestinian negotiator. "The Palestinians feel they have put themselves on the map again."

Sunday's marches occurred on the day Palestinians mourn Israel's 1948 creation, when hundreds of thousands of their people were uprooted and scattered throughout the region.

Marking the anniversary, called the "nakba," Arabic for "catastrophe," Palestinian organizers bused hundreds to Lebanon's border with Israel and to the Syrian frontier in the Israeli-held Golan Heights. Surprised and overwhelmed, Israeli troops fired to keep the crowds from breaching the borders. Four Palestinians were killed in the Golan and 10 in Lebanon, while a 15th was fatally shot as dozens rushed Israel's border wall with the Gaza Strip.

It's unclear whether future calls for more mass marches will produce a similar turnout since Sunday's casualties underscored the heavy risks.

However, Palestinian activists in recent months have spoken of employing such tactics throughout the West Bank, the core of a hoped-for future Palestinian state.

Some in Israel suspected that allies of arch-foe Iran, including the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, had a hand in the border breaches or that Syria helped instigate them to divert attention from its brutal crackdown on domestic unrest. In Lebanon's border area, Hezbollah activists with walkie-talkies directed buses and handed out Palestinian flags.

However, the Palestinians say it was purely their initiative, launched on Facebook several months ago, with heavy involvement by expatriates. "No one expected it to work, and it did work," said Hazem Abu Hilal, a Palestinian organizer.

Palestinian officials quickly embraced the campaign as a boost for their three-pronged strategy — seeking U.N. recognition, building a state from the ground up and fostering nonviolent protests.

Abbas declared a three-day mourning period for Sunday's dead, and flags were lowered to half-staff. "You assert to everyone that ... peoples' wills are stronger than their oppressors," he said in a televised speech, addressing the protesters.

Nabil Shaath, a Palestinian negotiator, said he believes Sunday's marches were just a hint of what's to come.

"These people are motivated now by the revolutions that succeeded in the Arab world, and I don't think anybody can stop them," said Shaath, speaking from Slovenia, where he was trying to add one more country to the list of dozens who have already recognized a Palestinian state in principle.

Although they now claim inspiration from other Arab rebellions, the Palestinians were among the first in the Arab world to launch a popular uprising. In the late 1980s, they challenged Israeli military rule with mass marches, rock-throwing protests and general strikes, laying the groundwork for negotiations that led to interim peace deals with Israel, included self-rule in parts of the occupied areas.

The second uprising, a decade later, was typified by shooting attacks and suicide bombings which killed many hundreds of Israelis. The violence eroded much of the worldwide sympathy for the Palestinians and triggered Israeli countermeasures which killed thousands of Palestinians.

"This is what put us on the contemporary map, unarmed people facing a brutal occupation," Ashrawi said of the first uprising. "Now again, it is evident that this kind of resistance not only gets you the moral high ground, but also exposes the immorality of the occupation."

Bold peace moves seem unlikely because both Israelis and Palestinians have set conditions that seem destined to stay unmet. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won't deal with a Hamas-Fatah unity government until Hamas recognizes Israel; Abbas has resisted resuming talks until Israel totally freezes settlement construction.

Ex-general Yossi Peled, who commanded Israeli troops on the Lebanese and Syrian borders, said border breaches will likely be attempted again and must be stopped at any cost — regardless of the political fallout — because they pose a direct challenge to Israel's sovereignty.

Israel Shoots Dead Nakba Protesters

The 15th of May is a day of remembrance. Around the world, we remember the systematic displacement and massacre of the Palestinian people. In their honour, we take note of the necessity of safeguarding the sliver of impoverished land that has been left to the survivors. We pay tribute to those who have refused to be stomped into oblivion.

Yet the Israeli newspaper Haaretz bemoans (1) self-righteously the ‘Palestinian protests for the annual Nakba Day, which mourns the creation of the State of Israel’. At this phraseology we can only shake our heads and say, ‘no, it is not about you; it is about the injustice done to the Palestinian people; it is this injustice that is the catastrophe’.

It is this Haaretz-style twisted logic that tries to excuse the Israeli military shooting of hundreds of protesters—killing at least fifteen—on the Lebanese and Syrian borders on Nakba Remembrance Day 2011. For instance, Haaretz never mentions that Majdal Shams, where one of the demonstrations took place, is disputed as occupied Syrian land. Instead, Haaretz scorns ‘large numbers of infiltrators trying to breach Syria’s southern border’, as though they were an invading army. At the same time, in that twisted logic, it reveals photographs of maybe a hundred or so people milling about with a few flags:

As for the Lebanese border, Haaretz repeatedly admits that protesters were killed ‘on the Lebanese side of its shared frontier with Israel’, yet boldly quotes Israeli Military Spokesman Brigadier General Yoav Mordechai, who ‘said troops opened fire at a large crowd of Lebanese protesters who approached the border with Israel. He said soldiers fired at the crowd when the demonstrators reached the border and began vandalizing the fence, and that the army was aware of casualties on the other side’. [emphasis added]

Haaretz acknowledges that the Lebanese Army was present and containing the demonstration. It acknowledges that the Palestinian youths had only words and stones to hurl at the Israeli Army tanks metres away. It acknowledges that the Israeli Army knew it was inflicting casualties.

Yet the Haaretz headline reads ‘Eight said killed as IDF fires on infiltrators from Syria and Lebanon’. As though the neighbouring countries were launching military invasions. As though as the Israeli troops, in their tanks, were merely defending themselves by shooting down unarmed protesters.

There is no mention of ‘Palestinians’ in the headline. There is never a mention of ‘Palestine’. No, in the media that propagates the Zionist agenda, the Palestinians who dared to shout their frustration are shunned as ‘infiltrators’, or as the Israeli military labels them (2), ‘rioters and inciters’. Indeed it seems the media takes its cue from the Israeli military itself, which described (3) the day’s happenings as:

‘Additionally, along the Lebanese border, several rioters attempted to breach the border fence and to infiltrate into Israeli territory. IDF forces responded by firing warning shots’.

A very fatal warning, we should add. In this so-called bastion of democracy in the Middle East, to carry a Palestinian flag as a reminder that it is, contrary to the claims of the whining PM Netanyahu, the very existence of Palestine that is in jeopardy—this simple act of demonstration is punishable by death. Instant and irreversible execution.

The Lebanese Army has confirmed that 10 protesters were shot dead and 112 wounded in Lebanon on Nakba Remembrance Day. Yet the Israeli military spokesperson ignores (4) this reality and refuses all responsibility:

‘The IDF emphasizes that attempts to damage property or cause harm to security forces will be responded to. The IDF sees the governments of Syria and Lebanon as responsible for any violence or provocation towards Israel that emanates from their respective territories’.

In honor of the sixty-third anniversary of Israel’s independence from the proprietors of the land on which it was established, the Israeli embassy in Panama is issuing a four-part magazine series entitled “Israel: 63 years of constant progress”. The first 30-page installment arrived last week with the morning La Prensa and dealt with typical cultural themes such as hummus, shawarma, and the coexistence in the Israeli democratic “oasis” of various ethnicities enjoying equal rights. Cultural trivia items included that “Israelis drink 3.5 cups of coffee per day”, “A cup of coffee costs 4 dollars on average”, and “Because they are adventurous, Israelis love extreme sports”.

Higher-caliber trivia—such as the success of an Israeli invention for an electric hair removal device, which according to Israel’s Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs “makes women happy all over the world” and should thus be used in order to counter “barbs of criticism” levied against Jewish state on account of its barbarous policies—was not on this occasion made available to Panamanians. Nor was it explained whether the multi-ethnic democracy’s Afghan Jewish inhabitants, represented by a photograph of women in blue burqas, had access to alternate ensembles for use during skydiving and other extreme activities, or how vast portions of the Israeli population living below the poverty line can spend 14 dollars a day on coffee.

The theme of the second supplement in the anniversary series, which arrived yesterday, is Israeli-Panamanian relations. The magazine cover features a handshake, with one hand patterned after the Israeli flag and the other after the Panamanian one. Lest there remain any doubt as to economic motives for political obsequiousness to Israel, this installment—like the first—is transparently interspersed with full-page advertisements from Panamanian banks and related institutions congratulating Israel on 63 years of independence. Also interspersed, however, is the detail that the “land of Israel” was in 1947 “also known as Palestine”.

On page 15 of the magazine it is announced that “Panama played an important role in the processes that led to the creation of the state of Israel”, thanks especially to a certain Eduardo Morgan Alvarez who “understood the injustices that the Jews had suffered” and who was appointed by Panamanian President Enrique A. Jimenez to represent the country before the U.N. Palestine Commission. According to the magazine, Morgan’s most important achievement “was to persuade smaller countries, primarily in Latin America, to support the U.N. [partition] resolution”.

Regarding Israeli acquisition of an air force, meanwhile, consider the following paragraph:

“The first planes arrived to [Israel] by way of clandestine operations, due to the arms embargo by the West. One such operation involved transferring 13 planes from the U.S. to Panama, registering them under the name of Líneas Aéreas de Panama, LAPSA, a company that was created precisely for this purpose. The first plane arrived to Israel on June 21, 1948.”

Other bright spots in the history of Israeli-Panamanian relations appear on page 17, where we learn that current Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli’s March 2010 visit to Israel and signing of five accords prompted the Israelis to “issue a page of postage stamps in his honor”.

As for the report that bilateral trade between Israel and Panama increased 35 percent last year and that “Panama is one of Israel’s best trading partners in Latin America”, the sanctity of the arrangement is not without constraints—something confirmed by recently WikiLeaked cables indicating that Martinelli bowed to U.S. embassy pressure to cease providing contracts to the Israeli security firm Global CST. Run by former Head of the Operations Directorate of the IDF Israel Ziv, the firm’s regional accomplishments include employing an Argentine-born Israeli interpreter who endeavored to sell classified Colombian military documents to the FARC.

Of course, such trivia is irrelevant to Israel’s sixty-third anniversary of promoting conflict at home and abroad. Far more important is the recognition that “Israelis understand and appreciate good coffee, and they drink it the same way the Europeans do”, and that “Israel has the most divers per capita in the world, who enjoy world-renowned diving spots”.

Libyan War Over Water, To Take It Away From Libyans

The 1st of September marks the anniversary of the opening of the major stage of Libya’s Great Man-Made River Project. This incredibly huge and successful water scheme is virtually unknown in the West, yet it rivals and even surpasses all our greatest development projects. The leader of the so-called advanced countries, the United States of America cannot bring itself to acknowledge Libya’s Great Man-Made River. The West refuses to recognize that a small country, with a population no more than four million, can construct anything so large without borrowing a single cent from the international banks.

In the 1960s during oil exploration deep in the southern Libyan desert, vast reservoirs of high quality water were discovered in the form of aquifers.

In Libya there are four major underground basins, these being the Kufra basin, the Sirt basin, the Morzuk basin and the Hamada basin, the first three of which contain combined reserves of 35,000 cubic kilometres of water. These vast reserves offer almost unlimited amounts of water for the Libyan people.

The people of Libya under the guidance of their leader, Colonel Muammar Al Qadhafi, initiated a series of scientific studies on the possibility of accessing this vast ocean of fresh water. Early consideration was given to developing new agricultural projects close to the sources of the water, in the desert. However, it was realized that on the scale required to provide products for self sufficiency, a very large infrastructure organization would be required. In addition to this, a major redistribution of the population from the coastal belt would be necessary. The alternative was to ‘bring the water to the people’.

In October 1983, the Great Man-made River Authority was created and invested with the responsibility of taking water from the aquifers in the south, and conveying it by the most economical and practical means for use, predominantly for irrigation, in the Libyan coastal belt.

By 1996 the Great Man-Made River Project had reached one of its final stages, the gushing forth of sweet unpolluted water to the homes and gardens of the citizens of Libya’s capital Tripoli. Louis Farrakhan, who took part in the opening ceremony of this important stage of the project, described the Great Man-Made River as “another miracle in the desert.” Speaking at the inauguration ceremony to an audience that included Libyans and many foreign guests, Col. Qadhafi said the project “was the biggest answer to America… who accuse us of being concerned with terrorism.”

Col. Muammar Qaddafi told the celebrants: “After this achievement, American threats against Libya will double…. The United States will make excuses, [but] the real reason is to stop this achievement, to keep the people of Libya oppressed.” Qaddafi presented the project to the cheering crowd as a gift to the Third World.

London and Washington circles were apoplectic about the opening of the new Libyan water project. The LondonFinancial Times ran criticisms of the project from Angus Henley of the London-based Middle East Economic Digest.The pipeline, he said, was “Qaddafi’s pet project. He wants to be seen as something other than the scourge of the West.” The Financial Times called the project Qaddafi’s “pipedream,” stating that critics may be awed by the engineering involved, “But they regard the dream as a monument to vanity that makes little economic sense in a country where the U.N. Development Program says 94.6% of territory is desert wasteland.”

If it is vanity that motivated the project, at least the vanity of Libya’s head of state is being channeled in a productive direction in this case–which is more than can be said of the leaders of Britain and the United States.

The Great Man-Made River, as the largest water transport project ever undertaken, has been described as the “eighth wonder of the world”. It carries more than five million cubic metres of water per day across the desert to coastal areas, vastly increasing the amount of arable land. The total cost of the huge project is expected to exceed $25 billion (US).

Consisting of a network of pipes buried underground to eliminate evaporation, four meters in diameter, the project extends for four thousand kilometres far deep into the desert. All material is locally engineered and manufactured. Underground water is pumped from 270 wells hundreds of meters deep into reservoirs that feed the network. The cost of one cubic meter of water equals 35 cents. The cubic meter of desalinized water is $3.75. Scientists estimate the amount of water to be equivalent to the flow of 200 years of water in the Nile River.

The goal of the Libyan Arab people, embodied in the Great Man-Made River project, is to make Libya a source of agricultural abundance, capable of producing adequate food and water to supply its own needs and to share with neighboring countries. In short, the River is literally Libya’s ‘meal ticket’ to self-sufficiency.

Self-sufficiency?!? Absolutely Not Allowed.

Jewish Settlers Burn Commercial Stores in Al-Khalil Old City

Al-KHALIL -- Armed Jewish settlers attacked at dawn Tuesday Palestinian commercial stores with Molotov cocktails in Kazazeen souk (market) in the old city of Al-Khalil burning down four of them and all goods inside them.

Owners of these stores are Shaban Hashlamoun, Mohamed Al-Shalloudi, Atta Al-Shweiki and Abdelhameed Al-Natsha.

Firefighters from Al-Khalil municipal council tried to enter the old city to extinguish the fire, but the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) blocked their way at the pretext the area was a closed military zone.

Eyewitnesses said they saw armed Jewish settlers in Kazazeen souk dancing in circles, singing and shouting racist chants against Arabs before culminating their revelry with an arson attack on the stores.

"We know the settlers torched our stores in order to expel us from our old city and fully take it over, but they can never achieve that and we are staying in the city even if we get killed," one of the Palestinian store owners said.

"They offered us huge amounts of money to sell our stores, and one of their leaders told us, 'You have an open check,' but we kicked them out and we told them to leave along with their lackeys because our [Palestinian] land is more precious than our blood and they cannot take a grain of its soil," he added.

Fair enough. Gail has a lot more political experience than I do. For years, various disinformation agents have been attempting to sabotage the 9/11 truth movement with claims that "mini-nukes" or "nuclear devices" were used to demolish the World Trade Center.

Conclusion
If Gordon Duff and Dimitri Khalezov were really so silly as to believe their claims about nuclear "demolition devices" having been installed beneath the Towers in the early Seventies with government approval, based on some "intelligence" that Khalezov had allegedly received - e.g. from an FBI agent, they would be demonstrating such an incredible gullibility, misunderstanding of politics and lack of common sense, etc., that this is not a realistic possibility. It is pretty obvious that the politicians who purported to have been fooled by "intelligence" about Iraq's so-called WMDs were almost all, if not indeed all, lying, yet Iraqi WMDs was nowhere near as crazy an idea as that of pre-installed nuclear "demolition devices" for high-rise buildings. Since the "nukes installed under the WTC in the early Seventies" claim is so preposterous it may be dismissed out of hand by anyone who is not stark, staring bonkers, Khalezov must have lied when he claimed to have become aware of the alleged 150 kTon devices from his "former service under the Soviet Special Control Service."

It [the ugly truth] is also clear that, not only should the 'work' of Duff and Khalezov be shunned by genuine investigators of 9/11, but anyone foolish enough to recommend them is, at best, so lacking in judgment that their opinions on any other matter are rendered worthless, and at worst, a partner in deception and cover up.

P.S. Thank you for this report, takeourworld back. When a guy, i.e., Gordon Duff, openly talks about family and friends in Israel, red flags should go up, anything that guy says should be questioned. I hardly think that Duff's family and friends in Israel are involved in human rights activities for Palestinians. I suspect they are from the same arrogant, privileged, supremacist cloth that Duff is from himself.

Iceland's Message to Portugal, Americans Prove Again They're Dumb

This week has witnessed two very different reactions to European debt. At one end of Europe, Iceland’s voters decided once again not to accept the payment terms of their ‘creditors’, the British and Dutch governments, following the collapse of Icelandic banks in 2008. At the other, Portugal is being pushed down the path of shock therapy by the European Union, with the people of that country cut out of a process which will change their lives dramatically.

Neither Iceland nor Portugal will have it easy in the years ahead. But there is a world of difference between the refusal of the people of Iceland “to pay for failed banks” in the words of their President, and the pain being imposed on Portugal from the outside. The European Central Bank’s head Jean-Claude Trichet has made it perfectly clear that the negotiations on Portugal’s future are “certainly not for public” debate.

Iceland’s people have not made a knee-jerk reaction. They are well aware that refusal to pay is the less easy short-term route to take. An impending court case by the UK and the Netherlands, the negative reaction of credit markets and the threatened block to their EU membership will all take a toll.

But for the people of Iceland the orthodoxy as to how countries are supposed to deal with debt is not simply economically flawed, it is deeply unjust, unfairly distributing power and wealth within and between societies. Twenty eight-year-old voter Thorgerdun Ásgeirsdóttir said “I know this will probably hurt us internationally, but it is worth taking a stance.”

If the people of a country which truly bought into free market ideology, deregulated capital markets and cheap lending can refuse to pay for the crimes of the banks, then those that did less well from the decades of financial boom can be expected to feel even more impassioned.

In Greece such anger is starting to turn into a constructive challenge to the power of finance. A debt audit commission has been called for by hundreds of academics, politicians and activists. Such a commission would throw open Greece’s debts for public examination – directly confronting the way that the IMF and European Union work behind closed doors to force their often disastrous medicine on member countries.

As Greek activists have said, “the people who are called upon to bear the costs of EU programmes have a democratic right to receive full information on public debt. An Audit Commission can begin to redress this deficiency.”

Their resolve is currently being bolstered by a website phenomena – a short viral film called debtocracy (government by debt) – sweeping Greece’s online population and convincing them they have been taken for a ride. Early next month activists from across Europe and the developing world will gather in Athens to put together a programme which will challenge the IMF’s policies in Greece.

Portugal’s deal is just beginning to be hammered out. As in Greece and Ireland, a ‘bail-out’ package will primarily benefit Western European banks, with €216 billion of outstanding loans to Portugal, while ordinary people endure a programme of deep spending cuts, reduced workers’ rights and widespread privatisation. The head of Portugal’s Banco Carregosa told the FT: “It’s not an exaggeration to call it shock therapy.”

The comparisons with developing world countries are obvious and the mistakes there are already being repeated. Time and again banks were bailed out and the poorest people in the world were pushed even deeper into poverty. Today countries from Sierra Leone to Jamaica are racking up ever more debts, once again, to weather the banker’s storm.

This is why a line must be drawn in Europe. Pouring more debt on top of Portugal’s woes will do nothing to resuscitate the economy. Portugal’s debt is totally unsustainable – largely the result of reckless private lending over the last decade. Those responsible are being bailed out, those that aren’t are suffering the pain. This is what Iceland has refused to do.

The people of Iceland have stood up for their sovereignty. Their future looks considerably brighter than those of Ireland or Portugal. The people of Greece are just beginning their struggle. The outcomes will have a monumental impact on the fight against poverty and inequality across the world.
